It is just after 2 in the afternoon and I am sitting at my desk struggling to keep both my eyes open at the same time.  I know why I am sleepy today which is actually a good excuse, I went to see Justin Timberlake last night in DC!  It was an awesome show… more on that later.  In general though I have been feeling off and I don’t know what to do to get back on.  Exercise, drugs, food?!?  Who knows?  I certainly don’t!!

Right now I have on Spotify and damned if they don’t keep giving me some slow ass songs.  I really am trying to hold out because I have a limited amount of juice and OH YEAH some son of a biscuit stole my cord and adapter off my desk so I can’t recharge til I get home and I so need this music as distraction.  The battery is in the red zone and it will just turn the hell off when there is no more life to be had.  I know everyone has iPod cord, I do also, but I need a smaller USB one.  I am also singing along which is never good for my co-workers in cubes near me.

So a friend of mine has the ‘Verizon’ hook-up!  You always need to hae friends that have the hook-up (holla if you hear me) at various places.  I really need to home repair hook-up, but I never seem to meet the guy who has that… Anyways, she got the tickets and we went last night.  I was a really interesting mix of people, old, young, black, white and other.  So I can’t claim to be a huge Justin Timberlake fan, I think I only have 1 or 2 cd’s and 1 I know for sure was a bootleg (I know I KNOW I’m not usually htat chick but don’t judge me!!) His most recent cd the 20/20 experience I couldn’t really get behind more than 2 or 3 songs.  And I like to buy the whole cd not just one or 2 songs here and there.  And then he reworked the cd and had additional songs so of course the songs I liked were not all on 1 cd.  I never got it.  Justin Timberlake is one of those artists; I mean how can you not like him?  He has a vast appeal to all sorts of people.  I mean some of the very popular folks today I can see why some people don’t like them, but Justin?  He has universal appeal.  So he comes out to a bear stage.  No band, no dancers, no singers.  The crowd goes wild.  The band and singers appears from the nether regions (LOL) they are elevated to the stage.  The dancers come from various directions and just ever.  And let me stop right here.  Justin has proven that white folks have soul and rhythm OH BUT THEY ALL DON’T!!!  So the lady a few rows up could not find the beat if it was hand delivered to her AND she stood and looked around most of the concert.  I wanted to yell out SIT YOU NO RHYTHM HAVING BUTT DOWN!! So anyway back to Justin.  I mean he put on such a good show, did a 10 minute intermission, got back on stage and then THE STAGE moved to the people in the back of the arena!!  It was so cool!!  I would have been scared shitless had I been under it but no issues last night, everything was smooth.  So then he sings to the people in the back.   Then he does a quick tribute to MJ by sing Human Nature and I almost laid right on the floor!!  I love that song and every version of it including, SWV, Nas, AND Chris Brown so you know I really have love for that song.  He also did a tribute to Elvis.  What I didn’t know if that Justin plays the piano and guitar!!  Always nice to know that pop stars are actual musicians.  So yeah my new goal in life it to be one of his dancers and/or singers whichever comes first. 

This weekend I took my mom to the Patient 1^st.  She is fine but every quarter the was builds up in her ear and it needs to be pulled out.  Her PC doesn’t like to mess with the ears so thankfully her good insurance allowed me to take her there.  There was this one fool in the waiting room who said, ‘are these even legitimate doctors?’ There were about 4 of us in the little semi-circle of chairs.  The dude with the 2 gold teeth and lazy eye but hellified sexy deep voice says ‘yeah they are legit’.  His wife just gives him a look, and I of course say ‘YES they are legit’ then the wife says that was a dumb question and the rest of us agree.  He gets hella defensive and says that a pharmacy in Pikesville opened and gave people fake med.  I gave him a side eye and prayed for them to call us while he decided NOW was the time to be the angry black dude in the Patient 1^st lobby.  If you do doubt the credential of the people in the back WHY ARE YOU HERE?!?!  You have a choice and you choose to come here so just shut it up and stop worrying me and my mama!

not to come across as a thug or a hood...

I am feeling very ranty today so here goes:

·         I don’t know who you think you are and why you are but it is rude to text through an entire meeting designed to help you do your job!  AND you came late and started talking about something NOT related to the meeting at hand.  And then why do you have on a suit and tie?  You got the job buddy, it’s business casual around these parts.

·         Speaking of texting and facebooking and tweetting… do you need to do it ALL THE DAMN TIME??  It is beyond rude when folks try to have a conversation but are glued to their phones talking to someone else.  There was a lady on Ask Wendy (y’all know I’m addicted to that show!! How YOU doin!?) who said her husband is always on it for ‘work’.  I’m sitting there like yeah WORK… or his side piece.  Wendy was nicer than I would have been

·         The bathroom…. I need to key to the executive washroom that is cleaned every hour because these fools on my floor have taken nasty to a new level and I might just hold it for the rest of the day to avoid it all!!

·         Do you ever look at someone and then they start talking about their kids and you think eewww someone had sex with you?!?  I know it’s mean…  I never claimed to be a nice chick, just random!

·         I know I look cute in my little skirt and tights today, but lady with the rainbow flag on your van , this ain’t for you!!!  Please stop looking so hard!

·         So instead of 1 person coming to the building for a meeting,  I along with my 2 co-workers have to bundle up and go to your building?!?  Well at least this meeting is not RIGHT after lunch, the coke (coca-cola not the snortable kind) has some time to take effect… I hope!!

 

The above was a random day last week and yet I’m still feeling ranty this week:

·         The sad thing about reality shows is that these are people’s real lives.  They are just foolish enough to act a FOOL on camera for money and for all to see.

·         On that note Peter Gunz must be packing so much heat that no one bothers to look at how unattractive he is. And is it ME or the onliest rap song  from him is Déjà vu?

·         You KNOW he (whoever he is) is sleeping with other women, what made you thing you were special and/or that you could change him?

·         Why is everyone on this show beige?  It’s a mix of Black folks and Latinos but everyone has this odd beige color. 

·         I am learning a new processing system and while it will look good on the ole resume I need the remedial class to figure out what the hell to do.  And I probably would do better if my smug SOB of a co-worker didn’t ‘get it’ so quickly.  I feel like an idiot and I’m so NOT an idiot so I need to get it to gether!!!

 

RHOA – The shenanigans!

So I really haven’t been watching this show and definitely not been talking about it much.  I’ve sorta been watchin at it this season.  Now I won’t lie I got stuck in a marathon one Saturday afternoon so I really do know what’s going on.  But the shenanigans that just went down these past few episodes are so ridiculous.  The bottom line is I have a new found respect for Kandi.  Not that I don’t respect the other women, I don’t know them.  But Kandi acted a fool, said she acted a fool, and then apologized for acting said fool!!  Everyone else seemed to play the blame game.  The other woman is Porsha!  When the fight went down, she left!!  Grown folks don’t need to stick around when there is nonsense going on.  She said to her sister we need to go, and then Ne Ne running behind her like where you going?!?  She has done and said some un-smart things this season, but that right there bordered on genius.  I don’t care for Kenya but it did seem a bit odd that no one had her back, WELL not really because she keeps a lot of mess going.  But what she said that made perfect sense is that Ne Ne stirred the pot and then when things went down, she wanted to wipe her hands clean like she had nothing to do with it.  I don’t like Ne Ne’s spirit, to me it seems off.  She’s just not humble, and I am big on humility.  You have to appreciate everything in life.  Some of the men… I mean HUSBANDS frequent strip clubs.  I’m not a wife and I don’t know that I dated anyone that had an affinity for going to strip clubs so I honestly don’t know how I feel about my man going there often.  But Ne Ne per her usual had to brake something down that didn’t need braking.  She said men have sex, get blow jobs and more.  Not all strippers do that and not all men want that… well I at hope.  As for Apollo and Phaedra, I’m not sure she bought his excuse of trying to break up the fight.  He looked like he was out for blood, AND he wasn’t even defending Phaedra.  It was such a bad look.  Then Cynthia who is an instigator and doesn’t admit to anything; no one asked you what you thought about Kandi and Todd, but yet you felt it your duty to report what other people were saying.  Really girl? And then her sister, now I love my sister just as much if not more than the next chick, but she ain’t just gonna pop up unannounced and say she’s staying for 3 months.  WHO DOES THAT?!?! I already didn’t’ like her for trying to block the wedding a few seasons ago.  Cynthia apologized for allegedly what her sister did but not her part in the melee… well ALMOST melee because I do believe Kandi would have beat her AND the sister down!  I probably will continue to watch just to see what happens but my girl Wendy said she was DONE with the housewives!
